Amla rice (Nallikkai satham) is full of vitamin c rich food. Quick and easily to make this variety rice its similar to lemon rice taste also little same like sour taste.
Amla is healthy and rich nutrition of vitamin C and E. It prevent cancer, improve the immunity system and mainly its slow down ageing. We take daily amla in our food its helps to prevent for many disease.
Ingredients :
Amla(Indian gooseberry) - 6 or 7
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Chenna dhal (bengal gram/kadaliparuppu) - 1 tbsp
Green chilli - 1
Gingelly oil - as for required
Roasted peanuts - 1/4 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Rice (Boiled rice) - 1 cup (250ml)
Salt - as for required
Curry leaves - small pinch

Gingelly oil - as for required
Roasted peanuts - 1/4 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Rice (Boiled rice) - 1 cup (250ml)

Procedure :
First take the rice and wash it 2 or 3 times and add with 3 cups of water.

Now add with 1 tsp salt its helps to enhance the taste of variety rice.

After washed it thoroughly then grate gooseberry (amla/nallikkai) and keep it aside.

Now take the cooked rice and transfer to another vessel and add 1 tablespoon of gingelly oil then mix it gently and keep it aside. Its prevents rice sticky and also it will give good flavor.

Take wide pan and pour into the 2 table spoon oil. Once oil is heat add with mustard seeds and allow it sputter.

Now add with channadal(bengal gram), green chilli and curry leaves then mix it well.

Next pour the little water and add together turmeric powder, add 1 teaspoon salt and mix it well.
Add into the cooked rice pan.
Again take the same pan keep it the stove put into the grated amla (gooseberry) saute in low flame for 2 minutes. It will cook quickly.
After 2 minutes add with cooked rice.
Now add with roasted peanut.
Now mix gently everything without breaking rice.
Serve the tasty and healthy amla rice(nellika satham/gooseberry rice) with fried potatoes and chips. You give your kids for lunchbox this variety rice definitely the luch box will empty.
